Dan performed on Tuesday 26th Feb 2013 in the ‘J.T Horne Memorial Perpetual Trophy’ Oratorio Class performing ‘Ye People Rend Your Hearts’ from Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’.
Dan also performed on Thursday 28th Feb 2013 in ‘The Operatic Perpetual Cup’ and Gold Medal Opera where he swept the board andwon the competition with 89 Marks performing ‘Un’ aura amorosa’ from the Opera, ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’.
Dan’s third competition was on Friday 1st March 2013, ‘The Duhallow Award’ for Early Music where he again swept the board winning that competition with 89 Marks performing ‘Per La Gloria D’Adorarvi’ by Bononcini and ‘I Attempt From Loves Sickness to Fly’ by Purcell.
Dan performing in his last competition on Tuesday 5th March 2013 in the ‘Lieder Perpetual Prize’. He performed two contrasting German songs in this competition; ‘Du Bist Wie Eine Blume’ by Robert Schumann and ‘Die Forelle’ by Schubert. Dan was very happy to be commended in this competition with 86 Marks and a certificate.
