On Sunday 12th February 2012, the first episode of the ‘Battle Shows’ of ‘The Voice of Ireland’ on RTE ONE, Dan performed a duet of the heart throbbing piece ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ to Waterford Soprano, Vanessa Whelan.
Both were put through from the ‘Blind Auditions’ by Coach, Sharon Corr and both were chosen to battle it out to qualify for the ‘Live Shows’. The song ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ was chosen by Sharon for them both as it meant a huge amount to her as it was one of her late mother’s favourite songs.
From the very beginning of the performance, the song captivated the audience, coaches and viewers at home. However, the decision had to be made by Sharon Corr as to who was to progress in the show and who was to go home. The decision was made to put Vanessa through.
What an experience Dan has had since entering the show on day one! The people he has met along the way have captivated him!
Dan wishes to thank you, the viewers for all your support over the last number of weeks!
