Dan performed at a 1916 Commemoration Concert on Friday 21st October 2016 at 8pm at St. Multose Church in Kinsale.
Dan performed suitable repertoire to fit in with the Ireland of 1916 such as ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’, ‘The Minstrel Boy’, ‘The Green Fields of France’, ‘A Nation Once Again’ and ‘Amhrán na bhFiann’ at the concert and was accompanied on the night by Kinsale Amateur Orchestral Society (K.A.O.S) under the direction of Christine Hogan. Dermot Ryan of Kinsale Historical Society gave a fantastic slide show presentation of Kinsale’s involvement with the 1916 Rising.
